INDEPENDENT CHRISTIAN PARTY GROUP
PURPOSE STATEMENT—“FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS!”
“…if My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”2 Chronicles 7:14
“When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”
Luke 18:8.
The Independent Christian
Party Group is the vehicle that once and for all will unite the members of the
Bride of Christ, becoming “A Unified Voice” of Christian citizens of the United
States of America. Put simply, in order to successfully achieve Godly electoral
results, all United States believers must be “one in Christ”, members of the
same political platform, working together in one accord. One political group,
“under God”, involving representation from every Christian denomination,
Christian ministries, Christian organizations and every believer of Jesus
Christ, who are registered Republicans, Democrats, or Independents is necessary
NOW, “for such a time as this”
(Esther 4:14)!! The specific goal of the Independent Christian Party
Group is to restore our nation to “One Nation under God” as it was originally
designed by the framers of our Constitution. We must begin to recognize that as
members of the Bride of Christ in the United States, we were entrusted with
“treasures and property” by our Master in His “physical” absence, as was
written in Matthew 25. Unfortunately, we have not successfully and by
“Christian Corporate” measures, doubled our “talents” before our Master’s
return. In fact, as we look at the condition of our country today and current
laws in place, Christians, as a whole, have taken many backward steps
politically. Should Jesus Christ come back today and “settle accounts” I dread
the outcome.
Political
parties that once “took moral stands” do not today. How can we, as members of
the Bride of Christ, not take an effectual collective stand, to be “One Voice”
electorally? God’s call to His people taken from Chronicles 7:14 is precisely
what is required of each of us if we are to be successful workers in the Great
Harvest that is before us right now in our country. We can no longer
ineffectually continue to operate as separate entities, attempting to achieve
“individual” mission or party statements and still successfully unify all
believers together in an effort to politically be “One Voice through Jesus
Christ” in the United States of America. God is calling all believers of
Jesus Christ to ban together and to humble ourselves. “Humbling” ourselves
requires lying down our denominational decrees, mission statements,
organizational goals and ambitions, political party prejudices and seek God
first. “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God
and His righteousness AND THEN all the rest shall be added unto you.”
(Matthew 6:33) Taken from My Utmost for His Highest devotional,
Oswald Chambers so eloquently wrote, “…Narrow
all your interests UNTIL the attitude of mind and heart and body is
concentration on Jesus Christ. ‘LOOK UNTO ME, all you and be saved…for I AM
GOD’. (Isaiah 45:22)… The very thing we look for we shall find if we will
concentrate on Him…” As a Christian, I am concerned, as members of the Body
of Christ; we have “lost our way and our voice” politically. The Voice of Jesus
Christ must be “one in Christ”. Will we ‘tarry” or will we unify as believers
to promote and vote for God-fearing men and women that will be the lights of
Christ in a rapidly growing dark place in our government nationally and
locally? Will we “tarry” and continue to lose ground and lose control of the
“treasure and property” that our Master has left us to tend to until His
return? This is a cry from a voice in
the wilderness. Please, my dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, “unite” as one
Body, one voice, one accord, one political forum, “in Christ alone.” “Those who sow in tears shall reap with

My wife, June
Geiman-Stephenson, has brought to my attention many times God’s vision He has
given her in the form of a new political group called, “the Independent
Christian Party”. “Impossible”, was my first response to June. “Nothing with God is impossible” was June’s
reply to me. While involved in a mission
of aide trip to the Faroe Islands in 1995, God made this “word” evident to her.
June was introduced to the operation of an Independent Christian Party while
visiting this cluster of islands that is situated between the Norwegian Sea and
the North Atlantic Ocean. God laid it upon June’s heart then and still today,
He speaks through her heart, to form a “united” Christian political group that
is “GOD-CENTERED” and inclusive of every United States Christian. It is a vision of a political group that
uniformly “SEEKS GOD’S FACE IN EVERYTHING”; “FOR HIS GLORY”, endorsing and
supporting Christian men and women who believe in and try to live by and
through God’s Scriptures and His will daily.
Having been a member of both
the Democrat and Republican parties, I can attest that there are solid
God-revering men and women involved in each of these organizations. However,
political parties’ platforms and goals therein often conflict with the teaching
and practice of the Word of God. This new political group is not to criticize;
God is not a critical spirit. Instead,
the Independent Political Christian Party Group is the political forum
alternative with its firm foundation being the Word of God, and in particular,
the New Testament teachings of Jesus Christ.
This political forum will provide candidates and individuals a platform
where one’s Christian beliefs are in tune and harmony with the goals of this
political forum. Unlike current political parties’ philosophies that change
like seasons, God’s Word never changes and the very questions of life
can easily be put forth in a simple statement, “What would Jesus do?”
June and I want to insert here that citizens of other faiths or no faiths
are also welcome to join the Independent Christian Party Group because they
want to see our nation return to the values set forth by our founding
forefathers which are Biblically based.
God’s directive to June was
shared with me upon her 1995 return trip home. Today, June still holds true to
God’s will for our nation to hear Him in laying the foundation for the
fulfillment of the vision, this political party forum by the participation
of ALL Christians in the United States. I must confess that I
procrastinated for years testing the waters with God, as to its validity and
possibilities. I was a “doubting
Thomas”. How can such a grand Christian
political forum exist given the “grand argument” of “separation of Church and
State”; not to mention “political correctness” and the perception of
“exclusivity”?
After 30 years as a
Democrat, I left the Democratic Party because of its platform on abortion and
other social issues. I had become an Independent for a period of time
floundering with other Independents that were caught up in the Ross Perot
movement. Then I joined the Republican Party because I saw in George Bush a man
who said he believed in God and openly spoke of his convictions. I have found
that the political parties’ priority platforms do not necessarily reflect what
God has called His children to embrace or act upon as His Kingdom
builders. In fact, political parties’ have
regularly used the “social religious supporters” to acquire votes, and then
places them on the back burner, until the next election. June has been a registered Independent for
many years because of her deep faith in God and because of the disparity of both
existing major political parties.
THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE IN
ALL POLITICAL PARTIES WHO PROFESS TO BELIEVE IN GOD AND TRY TO LIVE LIVES THAT
REFLECT THE LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST, YET:
ABORTION AND ASSISTED
SUICIDE: Regarding life issues, the United States aborts over 4,200 babies daily. According to National Right to Life
statistics of 2008 there have been more than 48,589,993 million abortions from 1973 to 2008, marking the thirty-fifth
anniversary of Roe vs. Wade legislation. Assisted suicide is perceived
increasingly as “mercy killing”. Do you think it is going to stop there? Why
are we not crying out collectively and successfully on behalf of the
lives of the unprotected?
SANCTITY OF MARRIAGE: “The man said, ‘this is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman for she was taken out of
man’.” (Gen. 2:23-24) We were created in God’s image, man and
woman, to become one flesh as husband and wife. Sadly, our nation has lost
sight of the Word and Command of God. Where is the “presence” of a collective
voice EFFECTIVELY speaking out and SUCCESSFULLY voting against
what is not designed by God?
In addition, BECAUSE OF
TOLERANCE:
National Security: We, as a “tolerant” nation, are becoming more
vulnerable to the forces of darkness, particularly radical Islamic influence
which continues to threaten the national security of the United States. As we
have recently witnessed “a close call” involving an airline this past Christmas
day, the horrific 911 event is not going to be an isolated attack on our
country or to any country that professes Jesus Christ as King of kings and Lord
of lords? The growth of the Islamic radicalism is growing internationally at a
rapid pace. We, as Christians, must work to keep our country true to its
Christian principles. This can only be achieved if we do so as “one body”.
We have tolerated the
removal of prayer and the acknowledgement of God in public schools; not to
mention the acceptance of “evolution” in lieu of “creationism”. Just this past
May, our nation’s capital did not acknowledge nor send representation to
participate in the National Day of Prayer. Do you think it is going to stop
there?
The fairly recent mint
production of coin currency and the longstanding motto, “In God We Trust”,
which was easily found on coin fronts, is now relegated to the side of the
coins. Secular groups are currently attempting to lobby for removal of “In God
We Trust” from paper currency. Do you think it will stop there?
We have more people in jail
now than any time in our history as a nation. Do you think it will stop there?
We have drug problems that
affect many American homes. Do you think it will stop there?
We have homeless in every
city in America. Why? What political party stands in the gap for them?
We have the scourge of
pornography invading every home through our TV’s, telephone lines and computers
and elected officials are not stopping it. Do you think it will stop there?
Adults and children warped
by these spiritual bondages lead to the sexual attack of other children, who
are then drawn into this world of danger and perversion. Do you think it will
stop there?
Homosexuality is being
introduced in public school curriculum and the extremists in our country are
crying for “equal rights”, “tolerance” and “acceptance”. Do you think it will stop there?
Our public schools are
spending more and accomplishing less. Do you think it will to stop there?
Once elected, candidates’
promises many times are often broken. God’s promises will never be broken.
Slowly, we, as Christians,
are allowing the Words and commands of God and our rights as Christians to be
removed from the political process. This should concern every believer in the
United States today. How long do you think it will take until we have no
representation at all? Our beloved Commonwealth of Kentucky’s motto holds true
for every believer in the United States today, “UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE
FALL.”
When is the true Bride of
Jesus Christ going to stand up in mass numbers, “one voice”, and not
as an organization here or there attempting to slay the giant/s on their own? “To whom much is given, much also is
demanded of them”. (Luke 12:48)
When are we collectively going to bring to light what is in the dark and
take back what is rightfully ours? Through the collective political
process of voting and peaceful protest, we can regain what the forces of
darkness currently control. We know the Truth; this world is not our home!
However, God has appointed us stewards of the earth until Christ’s return. It
is no longer feasible or realistic for multiple Christian organizations and
churches to try to make a difference “on their own”, individually. Such
efforts have resulted in some successes but very limited effectiveness. Where
we are today, as a nation, is living proof of that! Until Christ’s return,
all Christian organizations, churches, ministries, missions and individuals
must lay down “individual ambitions and humble themselves” and unite as one
Body, in and through the power of Jesus Christ, to be the light of God in this
rapidly growing dark world, “FOR SUCH A
TIME AS THIS”. God wants none to
perish but for all to have eternal life.
It is not new that money has
an influence on our government, but it is new that money, or the power of
money, has infiltrated the very fabric of our society, to the point that our
political system and democracy itself, is in jeopardy. Many of our churches, our non-profit
corporations and the business community, in the corporate world, have allowed
ethics to be compromised in the name of power and profit. God’s word says, “If
we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie
and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in
the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son
cleanses us from all sin.” I John 6-7. Isn’t it about time God’s
children stand up “together” and proudly proclaim the Real Truth , in one
accord, crossing every political party line, regardless of consequences,?
Isn’t it time to stop tolerating in our government, what is not of God and to speak
out in mass numbers, what is true and what is false?
June and I believe many
people of God, in our nation, are looking for a way to be heard, through their
votes, regarding monumental issues at hand. We believe that the Independent Christian
Party Group will be a vehicle for change.
More importantly, God promises us “the eyes of the Lord move to
and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is
completely His.” (2 Chronicles
16:9) Will not God support His own who are brave enough collectively
to speak out on what is truth and what is sin? June and I recognize that we are
not alone in our hearts’ desire to see revival in our country and we, once
again, become “One Nation under God”. June changed her political
registration years ago to “Independent Christian Party”. While I am currently
registered as a Republican, because of my desire to influence the direction of
legislation and our courts, I realize that I must “broaden” myself spiritually,
beyond any political party line. We are looking for Christian men and women and
youth, from every walk of life and Christian organization and church to join us
in this move of God. We invite you to join this political party forum and to
please help us lead our country back to the only true government, with Christ
as the Head. “When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the
earth?” Luke 18:8.

We cannot make this vision
happen without God at the helm and His leadership, His counsel and His
provisions. God has placed it upon June and me to take this appeal to
denominations, organizations and ministries nationwide, moving beyond
“individual” mission statements. This appeal is to invite our brothers and
sisters in Christ, in any and every capacity, to join us in the development and
fulfillment of “one voice through Jesus Christ”. As God brings together “resources” necessary
in the form of denominations, organizations, ministries, individual believers,
expertise, and monetary resources, we can then effectively reach the general
Christian population nationally.
Democrats, Independents
and Republicans:
Make your Christian voice heard through the Independent Christian Party Group.
Please join us while remaining in your historic party. It is time for all
political parties to seek God’s will for our nation, for our states, and for
our local communities. “if My people, who are called by My name, will
humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways,
